Invitations and adult eligibility

You may create an invited-rater account only with a valid personal invitation. You may create a restricted claimant account without an invitation solely to submit and manage a claim for a public profile; that account does not receive invited-rater capabilities unless it later accepts a valid personal invitation. In either case, you must be at least 18 years old and legally able to accept these terms. Invitations and accounts may not be sold, transferred, shared, or obtained by deception. We may refuse or revoke an invitation or claimant registration when reasonably necessary to protect the service or comply with law.

The service

InvitedRaters lets invited members create and improve sourced profiles of people with a legitimate public role, rate public conduct using published dimensions, post explanations and replies, and review public contribution histories. Ratings and posts are the opinions of their contributors. They are not verified facts, endorsements, professional advice, or statements by the person discussed.

These terms incorporate the Community Guidelines and Acceptable Use Policy. The Privacy Notice explains how personal data is handled.

Your account

Provide accurate onboarding information, keep your sign-in methods and recovery codes secure, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless it resulted from a service failure or another cause for which the law makes us responsible. Do not impersonate another person or claim a public identity without authorization.

Your contributions

You retain ownership of content you contribute. You must have the rights needed to submit it, distinguish fact from opinion, use reliable sources for factual claims, respect privacy and intellectual-property rights, and correct material errors promptly.

By submitting content, you grant Flavio Thomi a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, reproduce, technically format, display, moderate, back up, and distribute that content through InvitedRaters. Sublicensing is limited to providers necessary to operate the service, and transfer is limited to a successor that acquires or continues InvitedRaters. This license does not permit a standalone sale of your content, unrelated syndication, or use to train an artificial-intelligence or machine-learning model. It ends when the content is removed, except for reasonable backup, legal, safety, and public-thread integrity needs described in these terms and the Privacy Notice.

Moderation

We may review, label, reduce the visibility of, preserve, correct, or remove content, and may rate-limit, restrict, suspend, or remove accounts, when reasonably necessary to enforce our policies, protect people or service integrity, investigate reports, or meet legal duties. Moderation is contextual and may not identify every violation. Available reporting and appeal routes are described in the Corrections & Takedowns policy.

Availability and changes

We aim to operate a useful and secure service, but do not promise uninterrupted availability, permanent storage, or that every feature will continue. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features and will give reasonable notice when a change materially affects members, where practical and legally required.

Third-party sources and services

Profiles may cite or display material from sources such as Wikipedia, Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, and other public websites. Those services are independent and their own terms and privacy notices apply. A link, image, or source attribution does not mean InvitedRaters endorses or controls the third party.

Disclaimers and mandatory rights

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available and without promises that community content is complete, accurate, or suitable for a particular purpose. You should verify important information at its source. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights or liability for intentional or grossly negligent conduct where applicable.

Applicable law and jurisdiction

These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising from or connected with them are governed by the substantive laws of Switzerland, subject to mandatory laws that apply regardless of this choice. To the extent permitted by law, disputes arising from or connected with these Terms are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Canton of Zurich, Switzerland. This does not limit any mandatory consumer protection or any right to bring proceedings before another court that cannot lawfully be excluded. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
